Basic Full Day Survival Experience
Join us for a thrilling and educational Basic Full-Day Survival Course, tailored for all skill levels and ages. Choose between two unique environments: native bush or coastal. Each package offers a hands-on experience where you’ll learn essential survival skills such as fire lighting, shelter building, and sourcing food and water.
This course is 8 hours long available for individuals or groups of up to 10 people, with all necessary equipment provided. At just $180 per person, group discounts are available. Whether you’re venturing into the bush or along the coast, you’ll gain confidence and practical survival knowledge in a fun, supportive setting.
Key learnings include:
Water: Learning how to find and purify water is essential to survival, ensuring hydration even in the most remote environments.
Shelter: Building a shelter from natural materials provides protection from the elements, offering warmth and security in the wilderness.
Firelighting: Mastering firelighting techniques enables warmth, cooking, and light, crucial for both survival and morale in harsh conditions.
Food Sourcing: Understanding how to forage and hunt in the wild ensures you can find nourishment, even when traditional food sources are unavailable.

Kids Survival Group Day Package
Bring your group of young adventurers, ages 5-16, for an exciting, hands-on survival experience! Our Kids Survival Group Package offers a fun and educational 6-hour course where children will learn essential survival skills, including fire lighting, shelter building, and basic navigation. This package is ideal for school groups, birthday parties, or any young adventurers eager to connect with nature.
Price: $130 per child

Overnight Bush Survival Experience
Are you ready to test your skills in a fun and controlled environment and spend 24 hours in the wilderness? Our Overnight Bush Survival Experience is designed for all skill levels and ages and teaches essential survival skills.
You’ll discover how to find water, build a shelter (which you'll sleep in!), navigate and mark your location, catch/hunt and forage your own food, and be guided on preparing a wild NZ feast, all while experiencing the challenges of surviving in the New Zealand wilderness.
- Available for individuals or groups of up to 6 people
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult
Price: $350 per person (individuals)
- $300 per person (groups of 2-4)
- $250 per person (groups of 4-6)
This immersive 24-hour experience will challenge your survival skills in a safe, supportive setting. You’ll build your own shelter, sleep in it, and gain practical survival knowledge while creating unforgettable memories. Whether you’re going solo or with a group, are you ready to take on the challenge?
Just like in the day long experience, key learnings include:
Learning how to find and purify water, building a shelter from natural materials, and mastering fire lighting techniques.
For this overnight experience you will learn to forage for food, including trap and sneer setting, prepare basic bush tucker to keep yourself fed.
You will learn about basic wilderness first aid, navigation and location.
Experience wilderness in a safe environment and where every challenge is an opportunity to discover your strength and resilience.
Health and Fitness Requirements
Gear List
A general level of good health and fitness is required to participate in our courses and activities. The physical nature of our survival training and outdoor workshops involves walking, hiking, and other moderate to strenuous activities. To ensure your safety and the best experience, please inform us in advance of any health conditions or physical limitations that may affect your participation. This includes any medical conditions, mobility issues, or injuries. We want to ensure we can accommodate your needs and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Additionally, all participants will be required to sign a safety waiver prior to the activity. This waiver acknowledges the risks involved in outdoor activities and confirms that you are physically fit to participate. Please review and sign the waiver before attending your course.

New Zealand’s weather is extremely changeable and when going into the bush it is important to be well prepared for all weather conditions. Participants need to be able to carry in their own gear and a good backpack is recommended. ​
